A brighter, more even smile
Coffee, red wine and time dull every smile eventually. We brighten yours safely — with honest expectations before you spend a cent.
Toothache right now? We keep same-day slots — and we answer.
Call nowWhy it happens
Enamel is very slightly porous, so the colour in coffee, tea, red wine and tobacco settles into it a little at a time — too slowly to notice, until one day the mirror does.
Age plays a part too: enamel thins over the years, letting more of the naturally yellower layer underneath show through. That’s why teeth dull even with good brushing — and why the cause matters before any whitening starts.
How we fix it
First we check that your teeth and gums are healthy enough to whiten safely — whitening over decay or inflamed gums is asking for sensitivity — and we tell you plainly what shade change is realistic for your teeth. No glossy promises.
The whitening itself usually takes one to two visits: a single in-chair session, or one short visit to make custom trays you then use at home over a week or two. Often a professional clean comes first, because lifting surface stain sometimes gets you most of the way. And if one tooth is dark for a different reason — an old filling, a knock years ago — we’ll say so, because whitening alone won’t even that out.
Keeping it fixed
Whitening lifts the stain — these habits keep it lifted:
- Go easy on coffee, tea, red wine and smoking for the first few days — freshly whitened enamel picks up stain fastest.
- Rinse with water after a staining drink. It goes a surprisingly long way.
- Keep up your brushing and your regular cleans — polished enamel holds its shade far longer.
What it costs
Medical aid rates. We quote before we treat.
Most medical aids treat whitening as cosmetic, so we’ll give you the full price upfront — before you decide anything.
