2026 benefit year · compiled from the scheme’s published documents
Medihelp dental benefits, in plain language
Every Medihelp option we track includes some routine dental cover — the real question is whose money pays for it. On MedVital, dentistry comes out of a small insured day-to-day pool that also has to stretch across GP visits and other everyday claims; once that pool is empty, the rest of the year is yours to fund. On MedAdd and MedSaver, check-ups and fillings are paid from your medical savings account first, with extra insured cover that steps in once savings are depleted.
Higher up the range, MedPrime pairs savings with an insured pooled benefit, and MedElite and MedPlus pair savings with rich insured benefits that fund day-to-day dentistry — including specialised dental services — at any provider. Watch the network fine print, though: MedVital, MedAdd and MedPrime each come in an Elect version that uses network providers, and the student and graduate options, MedMove! and MedReach, pay for basic dentistry at network providers only.
One honest note: the exact 2026 rand amounts behind these benefits weren't published in the documents we reviewed, so treat this page as the map and confirm the figures against Medihelp's 2026 member guide before you plan treatment.

Call nowHow it works at our practice
We claim directly from medical aids. Before treatment we do a benefit check with your scheme — bring your card and your option name — so you know what your plan pays before you sit in the chair. You pay only co-payments and anything your plan doesn’t cover or has already used up. And as always: we quote before we treat.

Worth knowing before you book
- Choose an Elect version of MedVital, MedAdd or MedPrime and you're tied to network providers — on MedVital Elect, a non-network visit is your own cost.
- MedMove! and MedReach pay for basic dentistry at network providers only, with no benefit outside the network.
- MedVital's dental shares one small day-to-day pool with GP visits and other everyday claims — when the pool runs out, so does the cover.
- None of Medihelp's 2026 dental rand limits were confirmed in the documents we reviewed — check the 2026 member guide before committing to bigger treatment.
